Tonight I am watching history in the making. Pretty well everyone knows I love politics. Tonight is the height of my addiction. YES November 4th is finally here. I see this election as a remarkable opportunity for change in policy, direction and leadership style for the United States. Barack Obama exhibits humility and grace, and his story inspires creativity and action. As a candidate, Obama refined American politics from what most of us are used to seeing. The first African-American candidate for president has inspired legions of disenfranchised and time voters, which is good for democracy even if you don’t believe in that sort of thing. My hope in humanity has once again been restored and as a veteran of the United States military, I have deep personal reasons to see that America finally gets back on tract.
American Indian voters, especially those who support Obama, should seize their right to vote like never before and embrace political participation as a new ethic. I am certain that First Nation voters will make a noticeable difference in the future both in the United States and Canada. I am confident that the election of Barack Obama as the next President of the United States will change how minorities are viewed around the world. Way to go BARACK!
